Lame Rosse welcomes trekkers and hikers with an amazing, as much as unexpected, views of reddish iron shaped towers and cones stemming from Mesozoic to early Cenozoic marine limestones.

Lame Rosse lie in the National Park of Monti Sibillini, Province of Macerata, over Fiastra lake.

The walk up there is easy enough, only tips are to be plenty with water and to consider the pinnacles as extremely fragile formations, especially in their lower part.

2,5 hours should be wisely considered, for a 7 km round trip that does not require any special ability from the tourists.

Our starting point is close to the lake, stunning to define it shortly.

Sarnano and Visso, two old villages from Middle Age centuries, would fill in your day, whose cherry on the top will be the experience of the blossoming -infiorata-  of the altopiano close to Castelluccio town.

Please just refer to us and get ready to book your presence in advance, not to forget to check any restrictions in getting inside the Park, should you plan your trip in the summer peak week ends!

Infernaccio Gorge (it can be translated as Hell’s Gorge)

This trekking is suitable for trekkers able to keep their rhythm  for around 4 hours. You do not need to be professional  though -the trek is marked E-. During the tour you will also run across the Eremo di S. Leonardo and the ‘hidden waterfalls’. Without this last please consider somehow 3 hours for 7 km around.

We advise to start your tour at Rubbiano and to get ready to enjoy Tenna river on the way!

Gola del Furlo gorge.

Why to go there apart from having a chance and see eagles, enjoying a Natural Park Reserve

With unrealistic, amazing pictures of the canyon where Candigliano river lies and having a look at the Romans’ tunnel? Gola del Furlo welcomes even beginners, children and pets!

Your day might end at Acqualagna, The capital destination of truffle lovers. When not, let’s get pampered by Cagli and its Renaissance monuments or Cantiano, plenty with the typical architecture from 12th century.
